Students started out the year learning about the traits of effective writing and we are currently working on persuasive writing.  Students have read two fiction and two non-fiction articles with opposing views.  We are modeling analysis skills such as making observations in a text, finding patterns, and drawing a conclusion.  Students are completing MAP testing and we are doing our first Google Presentations.
