Mrs. Hamilton’s Kindergarten Class
Week 4/8/14
Language Arts- This week we will be reading and reciting nursery rhymes. These rhymes are good for rhyming words and developing fluency in our reading. Practice saying some with your child and see how fast you can say them. New tricks words are “I & you”.
Math- We will be creating shapes out of toothpicks and marshmallows, introduction of the quarter, dice addition and subtraction, creating number stories, counting forward and backward from higher numbers, adding on to our class collection, and bundling sticks to model numbers.

Just a reminder to pay Kindergarten fees as soon as possible, if you have not done so. The Kindergarten field trip to Kalahari Wildlife Park and the Carousel is scheduled for Wednesday, May 28th, and all fees need to be paid to attend. Information and permission slips, etc. will be sent home after Easter break.
